From time to time we communicate to site visitors by e-mail to inform them of changes to the web site, special offers or events that may be occuring, and other information we believe may be of interest to visitors of the site. When supplying personal information, you are asked if you would like to be included in these e-mail notifications. You are also given to opportunity with each e-mail notification to remove yourself from our e-mail contact list. We do not share the collected e-mail addresses with any other company.
We also allow our business partners to send e-mail to users of our site, but only through us. We do not give out users e-mail addresses even to our business partners. Our parners give us the e-mail that they would like to send out and we send the message for them.
We do not share name, address, phone number, or any other personal information with anyone. If you enter classified ads, yard sale listings or use some other features of the site, some of your personal information may be viewable by other users of the site. Additionally, we may use personal information to derive statistical information about the users of the site, but the information will only be used in an aggregate manner.
Visitors Under The Age Of 13
DowntownME.com is committed to protecting the privacy of children under the age of 13 years old. We have determined the best policy for DowntownME.com is to not collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 years old. We notify visitors that attempt to register of our policy.
If we determine that a user has registered and is actually under the age of 13, we will delete all personally identifiable information on that visitor immediately.
